Advanced PBS Professional System Administration Training


Learn how to manage complex HPC workloads
Altair PBS Works is a feature rich set of tools to deliver the desired job scheduling and workload management experience in any HPC user community. Fine-tuning all of the features in PBS Professional to deliver a positive HPC user experience is the responsibility of HPC system administrators. Sign up for this 2-day, advanced course and learn how to use Altair PBS Professional to optimise your workload management.

Training
The core of the Altair PBS Works software suite is the PBS Professional workload manager. This training course offers experienced HPC system administrators an opportunity to learn advanced HPC scheduling techniques using PBS Professional.

Agenda
HPC system administrators will learn how to optimize HPC system throughput and utilisation while respecting site-specific scheduling and business policy and protecting the system from misuse or uncontained code errors.
The 2-day training course is presented at a dynamic pace to focus on topics of particular interest to the training group.

Who should attend this training?

  • Experienced Linux system administrators for large HPC clusters.
  • PBS Professional experience is not required.
  • Experience of workload management is preferable.

Course fee
Course fee for the two day training is € 2,000 per attendee. This includes all training material, two coffee breaks and lunch per day.
